Those were difficult days, but in a way they made him the man he is today.
“Sleeping in the car, I always look back on it,” Jacobs said. “It’s always going to be something that molded me into who I am. It might have been rough, but, I mean, it’s my life.”
Josh had a very successful rookie season with the Oakland Raiders even though he had to battle through injuries for much of it. He rushed for 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 4.8 yards per carry, while catching 20 passes for 166 yards. He is in the running for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Today he shared on Twitter that he bought his dad a house.
Blessed just bought my pops a house 🏠🤞🏽💯

Josh is a very talented football player, but more importantly he is an amazing and inspring young man who is doing not just for his family, but also for others less fortunate than himself. You can learn more about what he is up to on his website: joshjacobs28.com.
I have a feeling that he’s just getting started…. on the field and off.
An unforgettable gesture.@iAM_JoshJacobs thanked his father for his sacrifices growing by buying him a home in Oklahoma.
