Three Alabama football players have been announced as finalists for four national football awards. Quarterback Bryce Young is a finalist for the Davey O’Brien Award, which is awarded to the nation’s top quarterback. Other finalists include Pitt’s Kenny Picket and Ohio State’s CJ Stroud.

Young is also a finalist for the Maxwell Award, given to the College Player of the Year. Pickett and Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III are the other finalists.

Will Anderson Jr. is a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, given annually to the best defensive player. The Alabama linebacker leads the nation in sacks and tackles for loss. Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis, Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thribodeaux, and Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton are also finalists.

Wide receiver Jameson Williams is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which is awarded to the top receiver. Other finalists include Pitt receiver Jordan Addison and Purdue receiver David Bell.
The awards will be announced at the Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.
