Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner. Young is the first Alabama quarterback to win the prestigious award and the fourth player overall. All winners have come under coach Nick Saban.

This is the fourth time that a program has won the award in consecutive years. Alabama wide receiver DeVonta won the award in 2020.

Young won all six regions, finishing far ahead of second-place finisher Aidan Hutchinson, the talented defensive end from Michigan.

As a first-year starter, Young has led his team to a 12-1 record, an SEC Championship, and the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff.

He has thrown for 4,322 yards, 43 touchdowns, and only four interceptions.

Alabama will play Cincinnati on New Year’s Eve in Cotton Bowl, which is one of the host sites for the first round of the College Football Playoff.

Young’s teammate, linebacker and edge rush specialist Will Anderson finished fifth in the voting. He received the third-highest number of first-place votes.
