Alabama’s A-Day Game will be broadcast online and on TV this year, but in a different format than in previous years.

The A-Day Game is a public scrimmage and is considered the 15th and final practice of the spring. You can watch the complete game online on SEC Network+ and see portions of the game in a new “whiparound” format on the SEC Network. The whiparound coverage will also include Florida and Georgia and will be aired from 1-3 p.m. on April 18.

The SEC Network’s new whiparound format offers fans “the option to watch their game in full on SEC Network+ or view a sampling of spring football action from around the conference live on SEC Network,” according to a release from the network.

The full game is expected to re-air in its entirety at some point on the SEC Network.

The A-Day game will take place at Bryan-Denny Stadium and is free to the public. Seating will be limited to 30-35,000 this year due to stadium construction.

“Over half the stadium will be not accessible because of the construction,” said Athletic Director Greg Byrne. “We anticipate 30-35,000 people being able to come to A-Day. They’ll get to go inside and see the new video boards, even though they won’t be operational. They’ll get to see all the construction and everything that’s being worked on and will continue to be worked on through the summer. There will be some inconvenience, but we know the passion of our fanbase, and we know we’ll have a strong showing with however many seats we have in there to work with.”

Spring Practice begins on Friday, March 13.
