Alabama Quarterback Mac Jones has been named the 2020 Johnny Unitas Golden Quarterback Award winner.  The redshirt junior from Jacksonville, FL is the third Crimson Tide quarterback to win the award, following Jay Barker (1994) and A.J. McCarron (2013).

Jones completed 275-of-357 passes for a nation-leading completion percentage of 77.0. His passer rating of 203.0 is also the best in the country. Jones has thrown for 4,036 yards and 36 touchdowns thus far.

He threw for over 400 yards four times this season (an Alabama record), including three times in a row against Texas A&M (435), Mississippi (417) and Georgia (417). His combination of throwing yardage, touchdown production, and accuracy are unmatched in college football this season.

Jones will lead the Crimson Tide against Ohio State in the Naional Championship Game on Monday, January 11 in the Orange Bowl.
