Alabama may have missed out on the College Football Playoff this year, but Nick Saban will be at the Championship Game. Coach Saban will be a prominent part of the pregame and halftime coverage. No one knows this ins and outs of college football and winning a National Championship better than Coach Saban. He is sure to bring a lot to the telecast.
Here is the announcement from ESPN:
The current plan is for Saban to appear as part of ESPN’s “Championship Drive” pregame show starting at 6 p.m. EST alongside Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and David Pollack. Saban is expected to be an active voice throughout the show leading up to kickoff from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. He will also appear as part of the halftime coverage breaking down the game of two teams he knows extremely well. The Alabama coach is the last one to defeat Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and one of the last two coaches, along with Jimbo Fisher who will also be featured in ESPN’s coverage, to beat LSU coach Ed Orgeron.
Every time Coach Saban has an opportunity to make an appearance like this it does nothing but bring even more awareness to the Alabama Football program…..not to mention get under the skin of all the haters.
