As expected, Alabama easily rolled over Miami in the Chik-Fil-A Kickoff Game by a score of 44-13.
Bryce Young was very impressive in his debut as a starter for the Crimson Tide. The sophomore went 27 of 38 for 344 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.
Alabama scored the first 27 points of the game, with Miami adding a field goal late just before halftime thanks to a very questionable pass interference call.
In all, it was a very solid start for the 2021 version of the Crimson Tide. The defense looked very much “as advertised” – possible the best in the country. The offense looked to be in very good form, possibly a little ahead of expectations. Without a doubt, this is an Alabama team ready to make another run at the national title.
