Alabama was undefeated when it marched into Baton Rouge to play the LSU Tigers in 2012. The Tide didn’t have its best day, but the offense put together one final game-winning drive to get the victory. The scoring play, a screen from AJ McCarron to TJ Yeldon will long be remembered as one of the best in Alabama Football history.

The Tide fell to the Texas A&M Aggies the following week by a score of 29-24. The loss would prove to be a rallying point, however. Alabama finished the season with an easy win over Western Carolina, and a 49-0 shutout of Auburn before holding off Georiga by a score of 32-28 to win the SEC Championship.

That victory put Alabama in the National Championship Game against Notre Dame. The Crimson Tide dominated in the Orange Bowl, ultimately winning by a score of 42-14. Watch highlights of that Crimson Classic.

None of that would have been possible, however, without a last-ditch, clutch performance on the final drive against LSU in Death Valley on a Saturday night in November. McCarron to Yeldon…Yeldon to the house. One of the best plays in Alabama Football history!
