Tua Tagovailoa announced Monday his intent to forego his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. Tagovailoa made it clear that his decision was one of faith and that he relied heavily on the council of his family, Coach Nick Saban, and members of the clergy during the process.
Saban spoke first, giving a glowing endoresement of Tagovailoa the player and the person. It is abundantly clear that Tua has meant a great deal to his coach and teammates.
While many Alabama fans held out hope that #13 would return for one more season, the vast majority have shown nothing but support for his decision to move on with his career.
His immediate plans are to continue to rehab his injured hip on campus.
Mahalo, Tua!
